The final stopmotion project completed by the workshop group:

Dick enjoys a bento box, while we wait to meet Youki and Rinzen.
So, ohaiyo gozaimasu (hello) Airside!
After much salty, compartmentalised food and swelling of feet courtesy of Virgin Atlantic, the men Hogg and Moorhouse have finally touched down in Sapporo.
And what a superb arrival.
Last night, we met various ICC staff and workshop participants over an amazingly indulgent meal of sashimi and garlic octopus - a perfect welcome to Japan. Especially if you’re a seafood lover like me.
Day 1 of the workshop has been a great success - everyone seemed to love working in snow (even local Sapporeans - who see it every day) and they interpreted the ‘brief’ in a very personal way - surprising us by choosing to express very personal stories through their snow sculptures. (more details of said creations when we’re back).
Dick and I decided to do a team creation to represent Airside. We chose to manifest something in snow that would represent the moment of revelation just before you realise a great idea.
In short, our sculpture involved a light bulb on the brink of being fertilised by a sperm (obviously?!).
Clearly it was an ingenious idea that we’d planned heavily beforehand and not one that we decided on five minutes beforehand!
Tomorrow, we’ll be bringing the balloons out and seeing what insane creations result. We’ll keep you posted.
Till then,
Guy.
